Lead Pastor – Brian Spencer

Brian escaped a life of emptiness when he opened himself to Jesus at nineteen. He has sought to know Jesus and live in the image of God ever since. He heard God’s call to ministry in 2017 and began preparing his heart and mind. He has completed the ministry preparation program through Nazarene Bible College and was ordained by the Church of the Nazarene in 2023. He is actively employed in the marketplace, happily married to Lori for 26 years and counting, and the proud father of Andy and Jackson. When not preaching, he can be found in his runners, on his cycle, or chasing the perfect cast.

Youth Pastor – Yeshua Elisha Brooks

I was born in Paterson, New Jersey, into an immigrant family, where I grew up surrounded by a rich tapestry of cultures and perspectives that shaped much of who I am today. At the age of ten, my family moved to Athens, Georgia, a city that became the backdrop of some of the most formative seasons of my life. It was there that I went to school, truly came to faith, met my wife, Chelsea, and where we welcomed our first two children, Esther and Emanuel.

For twenty years Athens was our home, and during that time Chelsea and I invested deeply in the lives of young people. Together we served in youth and college ministries for over 15 years, walking alongside students, discipling them, and creating spaces where faith and community could take root. Alongside ministry, worship has been at the very heart of my journey from the time I was seven years old. Whether singing, drumming, playing guitar, or leading in other roles, I have always felt a unique call to lift up the name of Jesus through music.

In 2023, the Lord called us into a new chapter. We sold our home and left Athens in obedience, with nothing but trust and the conviction that He was leading us forward. Terrified yet hopeful, we moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. What began as a leap into the unknown quickly became a testimony of God’s faithfulness. He provided in ways far beyond anything we could have asked or imagined, confirming at every step that His plans are good.

When we came to FlagNaz, we had no idea what role we might play or what God was preparing for us. Yet He has continued to open doors and draw us into opportunities to serve and lead that we never could have envisioned on our own. It has been a journey marked by faith, provision, and the joy of seeing His hand at work in every detail of our lives.
